BubbleBeats is a super-fun, unique way to find, enjoy, and create new music. BB is designed so that songs will never play the same way twice because YOU are helping to decide how the song plays... or you can just sit back and let the bubbles work their magic.

BubbleBeats will not operate unless you have Java 5 or higher (make sure that Java is enabled!). For optimal performance, we recommend the latest version of FireFox.

A bubble represents a sound file that either you or someone else has uploaded. Bubbles are fun, friendly, and you can borrow anyones' bubbles to use in your own foam!

Foam is what happens when lots of happy little bubbles get together and form something unique! If you really like a particular foam you've made you can save it and share it with your friends!

No way. You could lead a very happy BubbleBeats life enjoying other people's foam and creating YOUR OWN BubbleBeats foam by grabbing bubbles you like and mashing them together! AND, just because you don't consider yourself a "musician," doesn't mean you can't record your own sound samples!!!

You can create unique, organic compositions (foam) of your own sounds that you can share with your friends and fans. Also, every time someone grabs one of your bubbles and uses it in their own foam, your contact info will always come up when that bubble is clicked. In this way, BubbleBeats is a powerful viral promotional tool.

To create an original bubble you will need to be able to record a sound event and that part is up to you. Any recording or music production software should work. Just make sure it ends up as a mono-wave file that's under 7 seconds!

On your composition/foam page, click the samples tab () in the lower left hand corner to open your favorite samples box. See the circle with the plus sign in it ()? Click there to browse for, name, and upload your sample! IMPORTANT: For now, BBs only supports mono-wave files and runs best when samples are 7 seconds or shorter. You can convert most audio file types to mono-wave using production software (like audacity) or music players (like iTunes).

Any sample you favorite or upload will appear in your favorite samples box from which you can click the circle with the up-arrow () and the called upon bubble will appear in your foam!

When you click on a bubble in your foam, that bubble's details will appear below the foam box. Simply click on the circle with the minus sign in it () to delete that bubble from your foam!

When you are checking out another user's foam and you want to grab one of their bubbles click on the bubble you desire, then click the heart icon in the bubble details box (). When the heart turns red it is officially one of your favorite samples! Now go use it in your own foam!

If you've created a foam you're excited to keep, first click on the background of your piece causing the composition info to appear in the details box. Then just click on the save or save-as button as you see fit! Share it with your friends!

For now you have to delete all the bubbles from the foam you are currently working with and do a save-as under a new composition name. It's a good idea to save a 'blank' composition that you can always go back to!

You can easily change the color of your bubbles or background by clicking a bubble or the background and clicking on a new color from the color bar!

Click and hold for three seconds towards the center of a bubble. While still holding, drag out of the center of the circle and boom... resized! Do the reverse to get it small again.

Click the bubble in your foam you want to clone. Then push the button under the foam box of the two circles with a plus sign inside (). Voila! Clone as many times as you like!

To make someone a favorite artist click the heart icon by their name on their profile page.

Your "Cool Beats" are the top three artists in your favorite artist list. access your favorite artist list by clicking the profile tab at the top of the page, then click the "artists icon" icon, now shuffle your favorite artists around and the top three will come up as your "Cool Beats" artists on your profile!

Click the profile tab at the top of the page, then click the "three bubbles" icon, then click for favorite bubbles. Shuffle your favorites around and the top six will come up as your favorite bubbles on your profile!
